Ultimate has been incorporated as a vehicle for providing security services following a clear strategy of achieving customer satisfaction through employee commitment. In order to achieve this it is imperative that Ultimate staff are offered the very best Terms and Conditions of Employment. In this way Ultimate will seek to promote an in-house ethos, but with all the necessary off site management and administrative support to ensure motivation and commitment levels remain as high as possible. Whilst an acceptable rate of pay is one, extremely important factor, the Ultimate Benefits Package entitles Ultimate staff to the following:
Working Practices
All security staff will work regular shift patterns at a permanent, nominated assignment. Those staff allocated to a specific site will be part of a dedicated team who will not work at other assignments without the knowledge, and authority of that client. This policy will increase individual commitment and loyalty to the assignment whilst encouraging team philosophy.
Holiday Pay
Hourly paid staff will be entitled to 4 weeks holiday in the first year of service (although obviously with TUPE applying where appropriate). 1 day of holiday will constitute 12 hours normal rate of pay. This holiday entitlement does not include the statutory Bank Holidays.
Public & Bank Holidays
Staff rostered for Public & Bank Holidays but not required will be entitled to
Single Pay.
Company Sick Pay Scheme
Hourly paid staff will be eligible for our discretionary company sick pay scheme. Those members of staff having served 6 months to 2 years will be entitled to 10 days Company Sick Pay at the discretion of a director, increasing to 20 days thereafter. (The same qualifying period is required as for Statutory Sick Pay). Ultimate Company Sick Pay is calculated at the same rate as Holiday Pay i.e. full rate. In exceptional circumstances Directors are empowered to increase the 20 days, at their own discretion.
Company Pension Scheme
A group pension scheme is now in place. All staff with a minimum 12 months service will be entitled to a 3% non-contributory pension.
Staff Accident Insurance
Benefits are payable in respect of accidental death or bodily injury whilst either at work or commuting to and from an individual’s place of work.
HSA Healthcare
Totally Company funded private Healthcare Scheme. The leading alternative to private medicine for each employee and their immediate family.
Ultimate Bonus Scheme
All staff with a minimum 12 months service with the Company will be eligible for a performance related loyalty bonus, which will be linked to performance appraisals undertaken by Directors.
Training and Development
All Ultimate staff will be actively encouraged to undertake training which can be seen to have clear benefits both for the individual and for our clients. Training will be funded by Ultimate at no additional cost to either client or individual, and where staff members attend external courses they will receive their normal rate of pay in order that they suffer no financial disadvantage.
Staff Appraisals
All Ultimate staff will be subject to regular (6 monthly) appraisals.
Uniforms
Each Security Officer will be issued a high quality uniform and replacement
(including shoes and socks) at no cost to individual members of staff.
Compassionate Leave
All staff with 12 months service will be eligible for 3 days Compassionate Leave without loss of holiday entitlement.
Additionally, at Ultimate we believe that reward is crucial from the outset and that good performance should be recognised. A Performance/Loyalty bonus is available for staff and a share distribution scheme is operated for the management team.
